Cookies Policy
What we store on your device when you visit, and why.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Some are essential — without them things like your shopping basket wouldn’t work. Others are used for tracking or advertising. We only use essential cookies, so we don’t need to ask your permission for them.
The cookies we use
You won’t get any cookies from us just by reading the website. They’re only set when you use the shop or sign in to an account.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
woocommerce_items_in_cart |
Remembers that there’s something in your basket. | Until you close your browser |
woocommerce_cart_hash |
Keeps your basket up to date as you shop. | Until you close your browser |
wp_woocommerce_session_… |
Links your basket to your visit, so items stay in it while you shop and check out. | 2 days |
wordpress_logged_in_…, wordpress_sec_… |
Keep you signed in if you log in to your account. | Until you sign out, or 14 days if you tick “Remember me” |
wordpress_test_cookie |
Checks your browser accepts cookies when you sign in. | Until you close your browser |
When you pay for an order, our payment provider may set its own essential cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud.
Settings saved in your browser
If you use our comfort settings — reduce motion, dark mode or text size — your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it next time. These settings never leave your device and aren’t sent to us. You can reset them by changing them back, or by clearing your browser’s site data.
Content from other websites
- Podcast player: the SEND Out Loud player on our podcast page is provided by Acast, and episodes play from Acast’s servers. Acast may use cookies under its own privacy policy.
- Fonts and icons: our fonts load from Google Fonts and our icons from jsDelivr. They don’t set cookies, but your browser shares your IP address with them to download the files.
- Booking and links: when you follow a link to another website — for example to book an event on Bookwhen — that website’s own cookie policy applies.
No tracking or advertising
We don’t use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, we’ll ask for your permission first and update this page.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential cookies above, the basket and checkout won’t work.
